From what to choose?!I must say that the list of drugs is not so big, but still there is enough choice. Totally there are six anti-estrogens, but two of them did not come to our market. For this reason I'll talk about the four drugs that we will not be difficult to find. For greater convenience I've placed all the drugs in alphabetical order.
Arimidex (anastrozole)Arimidex is probably the most effective and most expensive
anti-estrogen. This drug is produced by the only one pharmaceutical company from Norway - AstraZeneca.
Arimidex - is an aromatose inhibitor and as I said - a very powerful one. Even half a milligram dosage of the drug is able to deal with the aromatization in most cases.
The exception is receiving particularly high
doses of aromatizable steroids, in this case you will need doses more than 1 mg. The only thing that may deter an athlete from the purchase of this drug is its price, even in the U.S. market it is considered to be almost the most expensive pharmaceutic substance.
Clomid (clomiphene citrate)In the CIS the drug also known as Clostilbegit. The main feature of
Clomid is its multifunctionality, it is excellent in blocking aromatose, and also it is able to restore the level of luteinizing hormone in the organism of a man.
Clomid, contrast to most anti-estrogens, can be used and in some cases it must be used throughout the whole course of steroid receipt. The average daily dose of the drug is 50 mg, i.e. one tablet, in critical situations the dosage can be increased to 100 mg.
Nolvadex (tamoxifen)In its structure and properties tamoxifen or
Nolvadex is similar to other pharmacological drug namely to clomiphene. It is similar because there are also differences, for example,
Nolvadex is a more powerful drug, but in contrast to Clomid, it has no effect on the level of the luteinizing hormone.
Another feature of the drug is in its strong anti-estrogenic effects on the liver and as a result – inhibition of the synthesis of the insulin-like growth factor IGF-1, as you understand this is a negative feature. The usual daily dose is in the range of 20-40 mg, I would recommend to take the lowest specified dose since Nolvadex is a pretty powerful drug.
Proviron (mesterolone)Proviron is undeservedly forgotten by the
bodybuilders drug. Inherently,
Proviron is not a classical anti-estrogen, and this sets him apart from the general list. Further more,
Proviron - is an active anabolic steroid that stimulates the development of the muscle tissue.
In its structure
Proviron resembles methenolone, but it is only a resemblance because there is a significant difference. With its anti-estrogenic characteristics Proviron is more like an aromatose inhibitor. You would ask why is it “
more like”? It is quite simple: mostly Proviron is an inhibitor, and lesser - a blocker. Thus here, in one
steroid drug properties of the two antiestrogenic groups are mixed. Another attractive aspect of Proviron is its price and reliability.
Orimeten (aminoglutethimide)This drug does not refer to the category of generally accessible but with a greater desire it is possible to obtain it, for this reason I included it into my list. Useful information for those interested - the drug is only produced in
Europe under the name Orimeten and abroad it is named as Cytadren.
Orimeten as well as armideks is an inhibitor of aromatose, but considerably weaker. Among the negative sides of the drug there is its ability to block the activity of the desmolase enzyme. Good news is that this side effect occurs only in case of use of very large doses of
Orimeten. The standard daily dose equal to 250 mg can in no way affect the activity of the mentioned above enzyme.
CyclofenilThe last drug in my list. You will be very lucky if you manage to find
Cyclofenil in retail in the CIS. Cyclofenil in its structure is a weak estrogen. Antiestrogenic properties of the drug consist in occupation of estrogen receptors, ie. this drug belongs to the aromatose blockers. Cyclofenil has some resemblance with
Clomid since it can also increase the synthesis of one's own testosterone.
The effect of Cyclofenil can be classified as very slow, because the drug begins to act just only a week after its receipt. The standard daily dose of the drug is 400-600 mg, that is, 2-3 tablets per day, which is far more than any other anti-estrogen.
For the conclusion I want to tell you about the following.
Aromatization it is not always an evil. Indeed, thanks to Estradiol, testosterone and methandrostenolone have their properties to build
muscle mass. Estradiol also stimulates the secretion of the growth hormone, which is the key to success in training for some athletes. Estradiol itself is not dangerous, the danger is only its imbalance. But how can you get to know your level of estrodiol, or is it impossible and you have to drink antiestrogens the whole your career. There are several ways. The first one is perhaps the most difficult in financial sense and with respect to time – to make a blood test. Also this method is the most accurate from all of them. The second method, it can be called old-fashioned way, is to start receiving antiestrogens immediately after appearance of pain in the nipples area. Do not ignore the signals of your body, even the smallest tingling may be the signal of gynecomastia development. The third method I would recommend only to experienced chemists, begin to use antiestrogens at the first symptoms and stop by their disappearance. Dangerous? Yes, of course, but if you do not see any other way, and you do not have free time, this method will help at this situation.
Therefore, there is no reason to panic and it is unnecessary to resort to permanent acceptance of antiestrogens. You yourself have to choose what to do. If you have the time and desire – pass the tests, but if you are not able to devote half a day to this procedure – resort to time-tested methods.
